TAILS 1.2: Torbutton in crazy DEBUG mode dumping ALL history to ~/.xsession-errors ############### https://mailman.boum.org/pipermail/tails-dev/2014-October/007243.html Torbutton in crazy DEBUG mode dumping ALL history to ~/.xsession-errors Some of the truncated entries: # Torbutton INFO: SSC: Set cacheDomain to # Torbutton INFO: Torbutton debug output ready # Torbutton INFO: SSC: Segmenting # Torbutton INFO: SSC: Parent # mozIThirdPartyUtil.getFirstPartyURIFromChannel # Torbutton INFO: SSC: No cache isolation parent # Torbutton DBUG: onLocationChange I deleted the file and it wasn't recreated in the Tails 1.2 session, but this isn't a fix I'm looking for. Why is Torbutton in DEBUG mode, spewing info about the sites you visit into amnesia user's .xsession-errors file and where can I turn this Torbutton DEBUG setting OFF? ==# https://mailman.boum.org/pipermail/tails-dev/2014-October/007246.html Hi, > Why is Torbutton in DEBUG mode, spewing info about the sites you visit > into amnesia user's .xsession-errors file and where can I turn this > Torbutton DEBUG setting OFF? Thanks, filed as #8160. You can redirect Torbutton's debug output to something else (e.g. the browser's JavaScript console) extensions.torbutton.logmethod in about:config. Or disable debug output with loglevelwith some pref in about:config. See https://www.torproject.org/docs/torbutton/en/design/ for the meaning of the values that can be assigned to these prefs.
